Formlabs is a brand of desktop SLA printer. These printers use an ultraviolet laser to selectively cure a liquid resin into a 3D printed part by drawing very thin layers of the part with light.

Yeah, pretty cool. This process results in high resolution parts, so it’s the best when you need fine detail.

<aside> ⚠️ Please use caution: these printers are very sensitive to contamination. Do not touch the underside of the tanks or any of the optics inside the printers - like literally a fingerprint in the wrong place can cause problems.

Getting started with our printers

If you would like to use these printers, you’ll need to go through an in-person orientation and training with a FabLab crew member or manager. Reach out if you can’t find someone to help with this.
